About me…

I started Jacinta Ryan Design to give small to medium sized New Zealand businesses access to the kind of creative thinking and design quality that usually sits behind an agency retainer. I work with a small number of carefully chosen clients, helping them with everything from brand identity and strategy, communications and campaign creative, to packaging, ecommerce and social media content.
I've been in the graphic design industry for 19 years, spending my first decade agency side working with a diverse range of well known New Zealand brands. That shaped how I think, how I problem solve and how I approach every brief, whether it's a startup finding its feet or an established business ready for a brand refresh. My work spans fashion, construction, recruitment, agriculture and corporate sectors, shaping a versatile and considered approach to design.
When you work with me you get a direct relationship with someone who is genuinely invested in your brand. I ask the right questions, I sweat the small stuff and I genuinely care about getting it right. Based in the Bay of Plenty, I work with clients across New Zealand.

Humble & Mighty

Humble and Mighty is an Auckland based marketing consultancy doing great work for small and medium sized businesses across New Zealand. I work alongside the team as their dedicated freelance design and creative resource, delivering graphic design work across their client base as well as their own brand identity. It's a partnership that brings together strategic marketing thinking and considered creative execution.
iLine Construction

iLine is a fast growing NZ main contractor with a reputation for doing things right. I built their brand identity from the ground up and work as their dedicated marketing resource, taking care of everything from website design and architectural photography to copywriting, social media and internal and external comms. With a lot of ground to cover and a business moving quickly, I get to wear many hats, from day-to-day content right through to the bigger picture work like developing company values and culture. A job where no two briefs look the same!
Harrie & Sam

Harrie and Sam was a New Zealand designed and made fashion label with a strong aesthetic and a loyal following. Over two years I worked as their dedicated creative resource, taking care of everything from Shopify store management and EDM campaigns to social media content, photography and product development. With a small team and big ambitions, I slotted in as an extension of the business, helping them show up beautifully across every touchpoint and grow with intention.
Hunter Campbell

Hunter Campbell is one of New Zealand's leading specialist recruitment agencies. I work as an extension of their marketing team, providing freelance graphic design and creative services across a range of high-profile collateral. This includes their annual Mood of the CFO report, a widely read industry publication, as well as market insights documents, company values and broader creative work. The kind of client where the work has to be polished, precise and on brand, every time.
Kāmahi Foundation

Kāmahi Foundation is a New Zealand not-for-profit dedicated to the restoration and protection of our natural environment. As a startup finding its feet, they needed a brand identity that felt as considered and purposeful as their mission. I developed their full brand identity from the ground up, including logo design, brand guidelines, colour palette and typography, as well as sourcing photography to bring the visual world to life across their collateral and Shopify store.
Assemble

Assemble is a specialist recruitment agency focused on property, construction and infrastructure across New Zealand. I refreshed their existing brand identity, modernising the look and feel before rolling it out consistently across their LinkedIn presence, salary guide, values and broader collateral. A small but meaningful update that made a big difference to how they show up.
